Lentement mais sûrement ! Slowly but surely !
Il paraît qu'il a fait très froid l'hiver dernier et ça coûtait une fortune pour chauffer le hangar, alors les travaux sur Desert Cat ont stoppé et n'ont repris qu'à l'été, après le rush du printemps des travaux mineurs sur les bateaux qui partaient. It seems that it's been very cold last winter  that it was costing a fortune to heat up the shed. Therefore the work on Desert Cat stopped and resumed only  during summer, after the spring rush of minor works on the boats that were leaving the yard.
Les coques sont comme neuves après avoir été refaites complètement. The hulls are like new after having been redone completely.
On dirait qu'il sort de l'usine ! She looks like sh'es just coming out of the factory !
Marc jette un oeil sur l'épaisseur de l'aluminium formant la nouvelle structure de la porte qui supportera le mât. Marc is having a look at the thickness of the aluminium used for the new door structure that will hold the mast.

Dans ce qui était le coin frigo et dans la cabine arrière babord, la fabrication de deux "boites" en fibre de verre relève les plafonds augmentant l'espace intérieur. In what was the fridge corner and in the rear port cabin, the fabrication of two fiberglass "boxes" puts the ceiling higher and add some interior space.
On voit bien ici le look des boites dans le cockpit. Here we can see how it looks like in the cokpit.

Éric aussi est en train de rénover son propre voilier.  Il a tout refait le pont. Éric is also restoring his own sailboat. He as redone the whole deck.
Durant notre séjour à Chicoutimi, ils étaient 2 ou 3 à travailler à temps plein sur Desert Cat. During our stay in Chicoutimi, there were 2-3 guys working full time on Desert Cat.
Le siège du capitaine sera positionné par dessus ce banc. The captain seat will be positioned over this bench.	Ce qui était à l'origine un espace perdu derrière l'ancienne porte est devenu un banc de cockpit avec appui pour le dos. What used to be a non used space behind the old door has become a cockpit seat with a back rest.
Un peu de fibre de verre et voilà que les fenêtres reprennent leur forme d'origine, avec les coins arrondis. A little bit of fiberglass and the windows are back to their original shape, with rounded corners.
Même chose avec les fenêtres des côtés. Same on the side windows.
Avant notre départ les boites étaient presque achevées. Before we left the boxes were almost done.
