L'Incroyable se produit et change notre vie ! The most unpredictable thing happens and change our life !
Le mois de mai s'écoulait tranquillement et nos journées étaient remplies avec le travail de rénovations du catamaran et les petits plaisirs de la vie, bouffe entre amis, petits voyages (pas trop longs car les travaux du bateau étaient prioritaires). Et tout à coup, tout bascula quelque part durant le mois de mai. Nous avons reçu un courriel qui allait changer notre vie ! Un certain Anthony, vivant en Mauricie avec sa petite famille, nous écrit pour nous dire qu'il voudrait acheter notre catamaran ! On ne s'énerve pas trop le pompon car on se dit que lorsqu'il verra l'état du bateau, il va déchanter et vite. Mais non, il nous affirme qu'il est très débrouillard et que si le prix lui convient, il est prêt à reprendre les travaux là où on est rendu. Il nous dit que son meilleur ami Hubert est ébéniste marin et qu'il va l'aider dans les travaux, et qu'à eux-deux ils vont mener le projet à terme. Des négociations s'enchaînent, et après une visite d'une fin de semaine avec sa conjointe Élise et son ami Hubert, Anthony nous fait une offre d'achat formelle avec certaines conditions.  Parmi celles-ci, la vente d'une de ses voitures car la banque ne lui donnera un prêt pour l'achat du bateau qu'à condition qu'il élimine celui sur cette voiture. Une à une les conditions sont remplies, mais environ deux semaines s'écoulent et sa voiture n'est toujours pas vendue. Elle nous tentait pas mal mais le prix était un pensez-y bien !  Lorsqu'il a baissé son prix un peu, on a décidé de se lancer !   Alors voilà ! C'est maintenant officiel, Desertcat est maintenant la propriété d'Anthony et nous, nous sommes les fiers propriétaires d'une Tesla 2014 !  Mais ce n'est pas tout ....  Juste au moment où ces événements viennent chambouler notre vie,  une unité du  trimaran de rêve de Marc est à vendre à Ottawa.  On a fait ni un ni deux et on est allé voir le Telstar 28 en question.   Le bateau, un 2006, est impeccable.  Les propriétaires sont un couple de canadiens d'origine polonaise, tous les deux fonctionnaires au gouvernement et qui prévoient prendre leur retraite sous peu.  Ils veulent un bateau un peu plus gros pour leur projet de retraite.  Nous leur avons donné un dépôt et nous irons chercher le trimaran à la mi-juilllet, juste à temps pour, au retour, arrêter quelques jours à Québec durant la visite des grands voiliers. Ensuite, nous l'apportons ici et nous avons déjà une place à quai à la Marina de La Baie. Pour le restant de l'été, au lieu d'avoir différents outils dans les mains, Marc aura une barre franche et une écoute de grand-voile ! The month of May passed quietly and our everyday life was filled with the catamaran renovations and the small pleasures of life, dinners with friends and short camping trips (not too long because the boat works had priority). And all of a sudden, the most unpredictable thing happened ! We received an email that would change our lives! A guy named Anthony, living in the Mauricie region with his little family, writes to tell us that he would like to buy our catamaran! We do not get too excited at first because we think that as soon as he will see the condition of the boat, he will change his mind right away... But no, he assures us that he is very resourceful and that if the price suits him, he is ready to resume the work we have started. He tells us that his best friend, Hubert, is a marine craftman and that he will help him do the work, and that the two of them will complete the project. Negotiations followed, and after a weekend visit with his wife Élise and his friend Hubert, Anthony made us a formal purchase offer with a few conditions. Among these, the sale of one of his cars because the bank will only give him a loan for the purchase of the boat if he eliminates the one on this car. We were quite attracted by the car but the price was a little high for our budget. One by one the conditions are met, but about two weeks went by and his car was still not sold when he decided to drop its price a little. Then we decided to make the move and buy it ! So this is it !  Desertcat is now owned by Anthony and we are the proud owners of a Tesla 2014!  But that's not all .... Just as these events are turning our lives upside down, a unit of Marc's dream trimaran is for sale in Ottawa. We packed the camper right away and  went to see the Telstar 28. The boat, a 2006 model, is immaculate. The owners are a couple of Canadians of Polish origin, both government workers,  who plan to retire shortly. They want a bigger boat for their retirement project. We gave them a deposit and we will pick up the trimaran in mid-July, just in time to spend a few days  in Québec City during the visit of the Tall Ships. Then we'll be back home where she has already a berth at the Marina de La Baie. For the rest of the summer, instead of having different tools in hand, Marc will have a tiller and a mainsheet!
Le catamaran n'en a plus pour longtemps  à nous cacher la vue sur la baie. Soon our view on the bay will be back...	Il se trouvera sûrement d'autres petits projets pour travailler dans son garage... He will surely find some other small projects to work in his garage...
