L'an
dernier nous avions appris qu'un jeune couple de Chicoutimi, Éric
Pageau et Catherine Lamoureux, prenaient une année sabbatique pour
aller passer l'hiver aux Bahamas sur leur Hunter 31 MER ET MONDE II.
Nous les avions contacté à l'époque et nous les avons suivi tout
l'hiver sur leur site web.
En juin ils étaient sur le chemin du retour et quelle ne fut pas
notre surprise d'apprendre qu'ils sont arrivés à Québec la même journée
que nous ! Nous leur avons envoyé un e-mail et le lendemain
matin ils nous ont rendu visite sur DESERT CAT. Ce fut un très beau
moment. On espère bien les revoir l'an prochain à Chicoutimi. Last year we learned that a young couple from Chicoutimi, Éric Pageau and Catherine Lamoureux, took a sabbatical year to sail to the Bahamas on their Hunter 31 MER ET MONDE II. We contacted them at the time and we followed them all winter on their website. In June they were on their way back and what a surprise for us to learn that they arrived in Quebec City the same day we did ! We sent them an e-mail and the morning after they came to visit us on DESERT CAT. It's been a very great moment. We hope to meet them again next year in Chicoutimi. | |

Nous avons eu le privilège de voir les premiers arrivés parmi les bateaux qui participeront à la Transat Québec/St-Malo dont le départ se fera le dimanche 20 juillet 2008. We could see some of the boats that will be on the start line of the Quebec/St.Malo Transat on July 20th, 2008 | |
Nous avons aussi eu la belle visite d'un neveu de Marc et de sa fiancée, Alain et Mélanie, que l'on voit ici en compagnie de Marc et de tante Nicole dans l'écluse, car nous les avons emmenés faire un peu de voile... We also had the visit of one of Marc's nephews and his girlfriend, Alain and Mélanie. Here we are in the lock for we brought them for a nice sail... | Et quels sont ces bateaux décorés de tant de drapeaux que nous avons rencontrés sur le fleuve ? Le 24 juin en fin d'après-midi c'était la parade de la flottille d'une quarantaine de voiliers arrivant tout droit de La Rochelle (France) pour les fêtes du 400e de Québec. In the afternoon of June 24th, it was the parade of a flottilla of about 40 sailboats coming directly from La Rochelle (France) for the 400 years celebrations of Quebec City. | |
Et nous naviguons parmi eux pour les accueillir à Québec ! C'est formidable ! And we're sailing among them to welcome them in Quebec ! It's terrific ! | |
