Ce matin Ken et moi on est allé à Cooley's
Landing pour une douche et une brassée de lavage.
En fait Cooley's Landing c'est juste de l'autre
côté de la rivière un peu en biais.
Mais en voiture on a quelques détours à faire et
un pont à traverser.
En fait ce serait probablement plus rapide d'y
aller en dinghy !
Puis j'ai appelé le surveyor vers 9h30.
Il va être ici demain matin à 9h00. Ensuite j'ai
fait un peu de nettoyage dans le bateau, la
toilette entre autres, pendant que Ken nettoyait le
dinghy et voyait à ce que tout soit en ordre pour
la visite du surveyor.
Pour diner on a mangé encore un sandwich au
jambon/salami car c'est tout ce que nous avions, avec
un peu de salade verte.
En après-midi j'ai lavé toute la vaisselle du
bateau puis ensuie on est parti magasiner. Ce fut
Sailorman puis West Marine et ensuite Publix.
Chez Sailorman il y avait une petite génératrice
vraiment pas cher alors je me suis laissée tenter
: 159$. En plus d'assurer le courant continu sur
le bateau, elle nous servira sûrement lorsque
nous rénoverons le bateau durant les étés à venir.
J'ai aussi acheté 100 pi. de corde
supplémentaire, une hose supplémentaire, un "boat hook", car
celui du batedau était brisé, des fuses, du WD40,
du nettoyant pour le deck, des coussins de
cockpit, un inverter pour l'ordi, etc....
Puis chez Publix j'ai fait une grosse commande
mais il me manque encore quelques items, genre le
vinaigre de vin que je n'ai soit pas vu, soit yen
a pas....
Comme il était tard et je savais que je n'aurais
pas vraiment le temps de cuisiner en arrivant,
j'ai acheté des "sushis" tout prêts pour le souper.
On a mangé ça avec un verre de vin blanc puis on
s'est fait un thé vert accompagné d'un petit
écolier LU.
Là il est 22h45. Je vais lire un court chapitre
et puis ce sera le dodo.

D DAY minus 5
July 11th 2006
This morning Ken and I went to Cooley's Landing for a shower and
some laundry.
Actually Cooley's Landing is just across the river in diagonale from
where the boat is. But we have to go by car, cross a bridge and
there are some detours. It would probably be faster to go by
dinghy!
I called the surveyor around 9:30.
He's gonna come tomorrow morning at 9:00.
Then I did some cleaning in the boat, the head among other
things, while Ken was cleaning the dinghy and checked if everything
was ok for the surveyor's visit.
For lunch we had a ham-salami sandwich again because that was
all that we had, with a green salad.
In the afternoon I washed all the dishes of the boat, then we
went for some shopping. Sailorman, then West Marine, then Publix
for the food.
At Sailorman there was a small generator really cheap so I decided
to buy one : 159$. On top of being a safety power supply onboard,
it will surely serve us when we'll be renovationg the boat in the next
few summers.
I also bought 100 feet of rope, another water hose, a boat hook
because the one that was in the boat was broken, some fuses,
a can of WD-40, some cleaner for the deck, cockpit cussions, an
inverter for the computer, etc...
Then at Publix I bought a lot but there are some items missing,
like wine vinegar that either I did not see or they had not any.
Because it was late and I knew I wouldn't have time to cook for
dinner, I bought some sushis. We ate them with a glass of white
wine then we had a green tea and a chocolate cookie.
Now it's 22:45. I'm gonna read a short chapter then I will say
good night !
