Une courte visite à Jonquière A short stop in Jonquière

Jonquière qui fut une ville voisine de Chicoutimi depuis toujours, fut fusionnée avec celle-ci l'an dernier, et la nouvelle ville s'appelle désormais "Saguenay".  Mais on continue quand même entre nous de parler de Chicoutimi et de Jonquière.

Jonquière has always been the neighbor town to Chicoutimi until last year when the government decided to join the two cities together, and the new town is now called "Saguenay".  But in our everyday life we continue to call them Chicoutimi and Jonquière.

En arrière plan nous pouvons apercevoir  le seul pont d'aluminium au monde, qui surplombe la rivière Saguenay, dans l'arondissement d'Arvida, là où est installée l'usine d'aluminium Alcan

Eh oui !  On mange encore ! Ici en compagnie de Doris Lapointe, une bonne amie à nous qui est également peintre

Yep !  We're still eating ! In company of one of our good friends, Doris Lapointe, who also happen to be a painter.

In the background you can see the only aluminium bridge in the world, over the Saguenay river in Arvida, where is located the Alcan aluminium plant.

Dans un sentier de randonnée nous avons rencontré un ami de Doris et son chien.

In a hiking trail we met a friend of Doris with his dog.

A notre retour nous nous sommes arrêtés au Lac St-Joseph pour rendre visite à notre ami Jules Gingras, qui est pilote d'avion au Moyen-Orient et qui était en vacances au Québec également.  Nous sommes allé manger sur une superbe terrasse surplombant le Lac St-Joseph dans la réserve forestière de Duchesnay.

On our way back we stopped again in the Quebec City region, at Lake St-Joseph to visit our friend Jules Gingras, who's a pilot in the Middle East and who was also on vacation in Quebec.  We had lunch together on a nice terrace over Lake St-Joseph in the Duchesnay National Forest.
