La mise à l'eau.... enfin ! Launching.... at last !

Nos amis Arch, Susan et Rory sont venus nous rejoindre à la plage à la fin de la journée pour nous aider à déplacer le mât, la bôme et le bateau près de la rampe de mise à l'eau. Our friends Arch, Susan and Rory came to join us at the beach at the end of the day to help us bring the mast, the boom and the boat nearby the launching ramp.

Dernière nuit sur la terre ferme pour Chérie Has 2. Last night on terra firma for Chérie Has 2.

Nous en avons profité pour souper tous ensemble à la plage. Bouffe thaïlandaise gracieuseté de Rory ! We took this opportunity to have dinner together at the beach. Big thanks to Rory for bringing the Thaï food !

7h00 du matin, Marc termine les derniers préparatifs, la pose des ridoirs aux bouts des haubans. 7:00 am, last minute stuff, putting the turnbuckles at the end of the shrouds.	En retard de plus de 45 minutes, la grue est enfin là. Over 45 minutes late, the crane is there at last.
Marc recule le bateau près de la grue. Marc backing the boat nearby the crane.
	Puis il monte installer des cordes pour éviter que le bateau ne pivote dans les airs. Then he climbs on the boat to put ropes in order to avoid the boat pivoting on itself while in the air.

Tout est en place. Everything's in place.	Mais la "strap" d'en avant semble trop vers l'arrière... ainsi que l'angle de la grue. But the forward straps looks like it's too much towards the back...and the angle of the crane too.

Et ce qui devait arriver arriva... le bateau glisse vers l'avant tout d'un coup ! Lise a lâché un de ces cris ! Juste avant de prendre cette photo. Plus de peur que de mal...heureusement. Les straps ont tenu le coup et le bateau fut redescendu sur la remorque pour replacer les straps correctement. And what should have happened happended...all of a sudden the boat sled forward ! Lise screamed ! Just before taking this picture. More fear than harm... fortunately. The straps holded on and the boat came down on the trailer in order to put the straps back in place properly.

Les angles maintenant corrigés, le bateau est prêt pour son vol plané. The angles now corrected, the boat is ready for its gliding.

Un des lifeguards se met à l'eau pour attraper une corde. One of the lifeguards gets wet and catch a rope.

Marc le rejoint dans l'eau. Marc joins him in the water.	Le bateau doit pivoter pour que la quille se retrouve à l'endroit le plus profond. The boat has to turn around in order to put the keel where it's deeper.

C'est le moment de vérité... It's the moment of truth...

Et voilà ! La quille touche enfin son élément. Hey Presto ! The keel touches it's element at last.

Il flotte, c'est bon signe... ;o) She floats, good sign... ;o)

On peut dire qu'il s'est mouillé jusqu'au cou. We can say that he got wet to the neck.	Les straps sont enlevées avec précaution avec l'aide de Arch et des lifeguards. The straps are cautiously removed with the help of Arch and the lifeguards.
