The Saguenay Fjord
We penetrate into the fjord under a grey sky unfortunately.
Nous atteignons le Club de Yacht de Sacré Coeur dans l'Anse de Roche
avant la noirceur et nous y passerons la nuit.
We reach the Sacré Coeur Yacht Club in l'Anse de Roches before darkness
and it's here that we'll spend the night.

In the morning we set sail on a very calm river....
still under the clouds.
Even if it's overcast, the cliffs are dramatic.
Nous sommes passés devant la marina de l'Anse St-Jean sans nous arrêter. Nous aurions peut-être dû....car une semaine plus tard, la capitainerie (toit rouge à l'avant plan) a complètement été détruite par un incendie.

We passed in front of l'Anse St-Jean marina without stopping.
Perhaps we should have....because one week later, the clubhouse has been completely destroyed in a blaze.

The most breathtaking cliff is right in front of us: Cap Trinité.

We can guess that there is a bay coming on the left hand side.
It's the "Baie Éternité",
bordered by the "Cap Éternité" and "Cap Trinité".

d'un gigantesque pan de roc lisse comme un tableau noir.
A tiny hamlet called "Tableau" for it's just in front of a
gigantic rock face which is smooth as a blackboard.

Fair weather is back when we reach Ste.Rose du Nord,
the "Pearl of the Fjord".

It is said that Ste.Rose du Nord is one of the
most beautiful villages
of Quebec Province.
DESERT CAT looks tiny compared to La Marjolaine.
When leaving Ste.Rose we were surfing at 8 knots on 6 foot waves with only a handkerchief size jib.
We pass in front of the boatyard where one week later we're going to put the boat on the hard.
Chicoutimi ahead.... It's the end of the journey.
We made it to Chicoutimi ! And we're very happy !
Marc's "small" family is there to welcome us. Half of them are inside, and the other half in the cockpit.
