L'éléphant vu de près The elephant from a close point of view

C'est surprenant comme la peau est douce au toucher. It's really surprising how soft is the skin.

Un petit chausson avec ça ? An apple turnover on top of that ?

En mettant le pied au bon endroit sur la trompe, l'éléphant nous soulève doucement ... As I put  my  foot on the right spot on the trunk, the elephant is lifting me gently...

Et hop !  Nous y voilà ! And hop !  Here we are !

Elle a droit à un repos bien mérité... She deserves a rest...
