Les environs de Chiang Mai Élevage de serpents...et promenade en banlieue Chiang Mai outskirts Snake Farm and walk in the suburbs

Nous avons visité un élevage de serpents où le petit monsieur nous a fait tout un show avec ses cobras.  We went to a snake farm where the guy was a real showman playing with his cobras.

Il leur donne des becs à ses cobras...          Lise est finalement tentée de l'imiter...

On voit de ces petits autels bouddhistes partout au pied des gros arbres. We can notice these small Buddhist altars everywhere at the foot of big trees.

Dans un jardin décoré d'antiquités, le sympathique restaurant "Antique House" sert des plats traditionnels du Nord de la Thailande. In a nice garden adorned with antiques, "Antique House" restaurant serves traditional dishes from Northern Thailand.

Ca lui va bien en  "backpacker",  n'est-ce pas ? "Backpacker" suits her well, doesn't it ?

Un ancien temple au coeur de la ville. An ancient temple in the heart of the city.

Ce temple est flanqué de deux gardiens à la mine patibulaire... This temple is guarded by two very strange animals...

Sur un site enchanteur dans la banlieue de Chiang Mai,  un commerce d'antiquités. On an enchanting site in Chiang Mai suburb, an antique shop.

En haut de chaque pignon se dresse un "Cho Fa", détail caractéristique de l'architecture Thaïe. Il tiendrait sa forme d'une silhouette hautement stylisée de Garuda, oiseau de la mythologie hindoue. On top on each gable we can see a "Cho Fa", a particular piece of the Thai architecture. It's shape is supposed to be the silhouette of Garuda, a bird in the Hindu mythology.

De retour "en ville", c'est l'heure de l'apéro... Back to town, it's "apéritif"  time ...
